Most of our pictures are taken at the Okanogan County Historical Museum. The museum is located in the county seat of Okanogan,
Washington, on business loop Hwy 215. The museum is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., seven days a week from mid-May to mid-September.
Inside the museum is a series of dioramas, models, photographs and displays of relics which tell the Okanogan story from
early geological to modern times, including the importance of agriculture, mining, timber and cattle to the local economy.
While visiting the museum, be sure to stop by and see the Old West town of the early 1900’s. These outdoor displays
include farm equipment and what is believed to be the Okanogan’s oldest structure, a log cabin built in 1879.
Displays include Main Street, the Ruby Hotel, a blacksmith’s shop, apple warehouse, post office and a replica of Frank
Matsura’s Photography Studio.
If you have any questions, you may call the museum at 509-422-4272 or email them at ochs@ncidata.com.
